  • We deal with products from all brands developed by Kimono Yamato (Kimono Yamato, Kimono by Nadeshiko, Double Maison, Y. & Sons, The Yard, and Tsunagari Project). An extensive lineup is offered ranging from formal to casual, female kimonos and male kimonos, as well as coordinated accessories.
    We attempt to display product images with colors as close to the actual products as possible; however, some difference in color hues may occur due to your monitor settings, etc.

Measurements and Terminology

  • Kimonos offered on this site mainly include custom-order products, pattern-made products, and ready-to-wear kimonos. The size details of each product are shown in the Size Details of the product page. Click the Size Guide within the Size Details to display a pop-up window showing terminology related to measurements.
    * A kimono is prepared using a special cloth measure called kujirajaku, therefore the length described in centimeters is an approximate value.
    * Sometimes the sleeve length described on the site cannot be achieved due to the width of the cloth. In such cases, the sleeve is prepared at the maximum length possible.

  • (1) How to wash (water-washing)

    • Machine-washable at or below 40°C using normal setting.

    • Machine-washable at or below 40°C using gentle wash setting.

    • Machine-washable at or below 40°C using very gentle wash setting.

    • Machine-washable at or below 30°C using normal setting.

    • Machine-washable at or below 30°C using gentle wash setting.

    • Machine-washable at or below 30°C using very gentle wash setting.

    • Hand-washable at or below 40°C.

    • Do not wash at home.

    (2) Chlorine bleach or not

    • Bleaching with chlorine or oxygen bleach allowed.

    • Oxygen bleach can be used but do not use chlorine bleach.

    • Do not use either chlorine bleach or oxygen bleach.

    (3) How to iron

    • Iron at or below 200°C.

    • Iron at or below 150°C.

    • Iron at or below 110°C without steam.

    • Do not iron.

    (4) Dry cleaning

    • Dry cleaning with perchloroethylene or petroleum-solvent allowed.

    • Gentle dry cleaning with perchloroethylene or petroleum-solvent allowed.

    • Do not dry clean.

    (5) Professional wet cleaning

    • Tumble dry allowed (exhaust temperature maximum 80°C).
