YAMATO CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) recognizes that it is the Companys social responsibility to appropriately handle and protect information related to individual customers (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information”), and implements the following measures in compliance with laws and egulations.
1. Collection of Personal Information
The Company collects the Personal Information provided by customers after clarifying the purpose of collection and use to the scope necessary for business purposes.
2. Use of Personal Information
The Company uses the Personal Information collected and currently retained by the Company only for the purpose of delivering products to customers and for providing information on events, etc., and does not provide the Personal Information to any third parties. Also, when collecting new information, the Company will clarify the purpose of such collection to customers and limit the use of such information to the stated purpose. In the case of a necessity of using the Personal Information beyond the scope of the stated purpose arises, the Company will notify customers to that effect.
3. Use of Personal Information in Connection with Customer Surveys
（１）The Company uses the Personal Information from customer surveys for analysis to plan and develop new products and services, and to improve responsiveness.
（２）Within the scope of purpose of use described in (1) above, the Company outsources the survey analysis to external research and analysis companies.
（３）The Company supervises the outsourcing contractor to ensure appropriate safety management, and responds to inquiries and requests for disclosure by customers at the Companys responsibility in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws and regulations.
4. Appropriate Management of Personal Information
The Company strives to keep the Personal Information of customers up-to-date and accurate at all times. Also, in order to prevent unauthorized access, loss, leakage, etc., the Company manages the Personal Information in an appropriate and strict manner and takes security measures.
In the case where the Company entrusts the information of customers to an outside corporation for the purpose of outsourcing the business, the Company obliges the outside corporation by contractual or any other means to take appropriate protection measures as those taken by the Company.
6. Request to Stop Sending of Print Advertisement Materials
The Company sends our customers useful information, including Personal Information provided by customers in the past, by direct mail or other means. If customers do not wish to receive such information, the Company will promptly respond to customers request to stop receiving such information.
7. Correction, Suspension of Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
If the Company receives a request to correct, suspend usage of, or disclose the Personal Information, the Company will promptly respond to the customers request after confirming the identity of the customer in accordance with predetermined procedures of the Company.
8. Intracompany System
In order to ensure that employees of the Company protect the Personal Information of customers in a responsible manner, the Company periodically implements in-house training and raises awareness regarding the protection of Personal Information.The Company periodically reviews and improves intracompany systems for the protection and appropriate handling of the Personal Information, as well as the implementation and maintenance of measures. The Company also conducts internal audits on a regular basis to carry out appropriate management of Personal Information.
